Each year BAM International enlists seven to ten students for internships abroad, for a period of at least five months. These students ideally are studying for a Master of Science or Bachelor degree in civil- or building engineering.
From day one you will be part of the multi-cultural on-site project team. Your main responsibilities on the project will be in work preparation or site supervision but they may also include other tasks related to the realisation of the project like planning or purchasing. Even though a mentor will be available to guide you, we require very independent and pro-active mind-set as you will be working in a foreign country, while carrying real responsibilities during your internship. You will be considered as part of the team, which also means that, just like them, you will be working six days a week, ten hours a day.
An international internship is focused on operational experience. It does not leave room for research or writing a thesis. BAM International provides you a return flight ticket, visa, accommodation and transport during your internship abroad.
The vacancy for international internship is open for applications two times a year (March/April and September/October). If you are interested and currently studying Civil / Building engineering or Construction Management, visit the vacancy part on this website and find the ‘International Internship vacancy’. When any questions arise you can contact the recruitment department in our The Hague head office.
