Our company has been carrying out complex construction projects in Africa since the early 1950s. Our experience in the field of financial engineering has contributed to the success of the projects.
Besides our historical focus on near shore marine projects, we have also executed infrastructure and building projects.
BAM has completed more than 50 projects in Africa, including marine structures in Sierra Leone, quay walls for a port in Ghana, a container terminal in Liberia, airports in Tanzania, as well as water supply and sanitation projects in Mozambique and Kenya. We are very proud that we were also involved in the construction of two of the ten stadiums that were built for the FIFA Soccer World Cup in South Africa, in 2010.
The area office is based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania which allows us to offer a personalised service to local customers as well as a single point of contact for larger national organisations.
Alongside the delivery of our projects, we have embraced corporate social responsibility initiatives to enhance health, safety and education for the local population. In Africa, the main activities carried out include construction and rehabilitation of schools, water supply to schools, safety trainings, diversity and gender equality initiatives and donation of waste materials to local recycling organisations
