Digital Construction and BIM
With technology becoming a big feature in the construction industry BAM Ireland have focused on developing our Digital Construction Department thus becoming the market leaders in BIM and Digitalisation.
This investment has allowed the organisation to further serve our clients through 3D modelling of the projects, managing contracts, maintenance of sites and allowing more complex projects to become a reality.
BAM was the first company in Ireland to agree a multimillion-euro enterprise business agreement with Autodesk for software and services and recently BAM has agreed global deals with ViewPoint, Synchro, and IBM to help accelerate our company’s digital transformation.
Continuing to strengthen our digital capabilities is key to the implementation of BAM’s strategy “Building the present, creating the future.”
Digitalisation has been proven to deliver better outcomes for our business and clients and is the first step in the improvement of the entire project life-cycle from design to handover.
Hiring dedicated and talented Digital Construction professionals is key for BAM to further implement our strategies and drive our operational excellence, meeting clients needs in an innovative and sustainable manner.
So, what is it like to work in the Digital Construction team in BAM?
“BAM’s DC Team is a hot bed of innovation and creative thinking. “I joined BAM as a Digital Construction graduate and am now currently holding the position of BIM Coordinator on BAM Irelands Boland’s Quay Project. I was successful in obtaining this position after completing my studies in Architectural and Building Information Modelling Technology in college. I love my role because of the diversity of the work, engaging in on-site based and office-based duties. I hope to further my career in the coming years by enrolling to begin my master’s this coming September, along with progressing within my current role in BAM.”
